This lab is dealt for B.Tech & Diploma Students in 2nd Year, In this Laboratory students will come to know about the material Properties & different Material strength’s. After the completion of lab student will get the knowledge on configure & operate a data acquisition system using various testing machines of solid materials. Compute and analyze engineering values (e.g. stress or strain) from laboratory measurements, write a technical laboratory report on Tests performed as per Indian Standards
To impart the practical knowledge in the field- measuring distances, directions, angles, determining R.L.’s areas and volumes, set out Curves, stake out points, traverse the area, draw Plans and Maps. At the end of the course, the student will be able to Apply the principle of surveying for civil Engineering Applications. Calculation of areas in land survey, Drawing plans and contour maps using different measuring equipment at field level, Roads Leveling & Mapping.
The objective of this lab is that to provide practical knowledge about physical properties of minerals, rocks, drawing of geological maps, showing faults, uniformities etc. At the end of the course, the student will be able to Understands the method and ways of investigations required for Civil Engineering projects. Identify the various rocks, minerals depending on geological classifications. Will able to learn to couple geologic expertise with the engineering properties of rock and unconsolidated materials in the characterization of geologic sites for civil work projects and the quantification of processes such as rock slides and settlement.
The objective of this lab is to teach the student usage of Auto cad and basic drawing fundamentals in various civil engineering applications, especially in building drawing. The student will be able to use the AUTOCAD commands for drawing 2D & 3D building drawings required for different civil engineering applications. Plan and draw Civil Engineering Buildings as per aspect and orientation. Representing drawings as per user requirements, preparation of technical report.
Identify the behavior of analytical models introduced in lecture to the actual behavior of real fluid flows. Explain the standard measurement techniques of fluid mechanics and their applications. Illustrate the students with the components and working principles of the Hydraulic machines- different types of Turbines, Pumps, and other miscellaneous hydraulics machines. Analyze the laboratory measurements and to document the results in an appropriate format. Describe the basic measurement techniques of fluid mechanics and its appropriate application. Interpret the results obtained in the laboratory for various experiments. Discover the practical working of Hydraulic machines- different types of Turbines, Pumps, and other miscellaneous hydraulics machines. Compare the results of analytical models introduced in lecture to the actual behavior of real fluid flows and draw correct and sustainable conclusions.
To obtain index and engineering properties of locally available soils, and understand the behavior of these soil under various loads. The student will be able to Classify and evaluate the behavior of the soils subjected to various loads. Characterize and classify the soils to estimate seepage, stresses under various loading conditions and compaction characteristics, analyse the compressibility of the soils. to understand the strength of soils under various drainage conditions.
Laboratory tests and their procedures on cement, fine aggregate, course aggregates and bitumen are performed here. Evaluate fresh concrete properties, understand the test procedures for characterization of Concrete and bituminous mixes. Categorize the test on materials used Civil Engineering Building & Pavement constructions. the tests on concrete for it characterization. Design Concrete Mix Proportioning by Using Indian Standard Method. Examine the tests performed for Bitumen mixes. Students of B.Tech & Diploma will come to know in Final Year about Materials in Laboratory.
In this lab examine and estimate water, waste water, air and soil Quality is done. Compare the water, air quality standards with prescribed standards set by the local governments. Develop a report on the quality aspect of the environment. Perform the experiments to determine water and waste water quality. Understand the water & waste water sampling, their quality standards. Estimate quality of water, waste water and Industrial water. Students will be dealing this lab in 3rd Year B. Tech & Diploma Program.
